STEM-DSA PROGRAMME

STEM-DSA PROGRAMME

Our STEM Direct School Admission for secondary schools (DSA-Sec) preparation program allows students to apply to some schools before taking the PSLE.

Structure

  1. Certification Course: Join a regular robotics or coding certification programe.
  2. Programming languages: Learn programming languages such as block-based programming or text-based programming such as Python.
  3. Competitions: Participate in robotics competitions, such as the FIRST Robotics Competitions, WRO Robotic Competition, or Coding competition to demonstrate your interest and proficiency in the field.
  4. Projects: Work on projects that involve building and programming robots or create innovative coding programs.

Competitions

FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) to children ages 4-16* through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together.

The National Robotics Competition (NRC) with support from the Ministry of Education, various partners and sponsors. To date, the competition has attracted more than 60,000 participants and 240,000 supporters.

World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is an international robotics competition that aims to inspire young people’s interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. It provides a platform for students from around the world to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through the design, construction, and programming of robots.

Asia Pacific Youth Robotics Competition (APYRC) is a robotics competition for science, technology, and engineering and mathematic (STEM) that brings young people together to develop problem solving skills and creativity. This is a well-rounded event for students to design and build a robot to compete in the various robotics events.

Coding Olympics Singapore is the first ever national coding competition jointly organized by Singapore Science Centre Global and mangoSTEEMS Singapore. The aim of the competition serves 2 purposes.  Encourage children to acquire coding skills to prepare for the digital world and sSeeks to reveal the most efficient and accurate coder.

IDE SERIES is a national technology and engineering competition event. The aim of the competition is to challenge students on problem solving across domains such as electronics, programming, and mechanical design.
